ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Intensive Eating Disorder Group is a community based group for adult women and adolescent girls, who struggle with eating and body image issues. The group intends to encourage emotional exploration surrounding eating disorders, provide psycho-educational information about eating disorders and to promote a healthy self-esteem. Although psychiatry and nutrition will not be offered within the program, Stone Creek Psychotherapy coordinates treatment with other professionals in the community. All sessions will be held at Stone Creek Psychotherapy.
These groups will be facilitated by Danielle Etter, MS, Eating Disorder Specialist and Brittani Davidson, LMSW. Danielle has several years of experience working with eating disorders and women’s issues. Danielle came to Stone Creek from The Renfrew Center, a nationally recognized eating disorder facility. Brittani has worked with adolescents, addressing issues such as self-esteem, anger management and relational problems.
There will be two groups forming; one for adult woman and one for adolescent girls who struggle with eating and body image issues. This six week group will meet three times per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays. The adult woman’s group will meet 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the adolescent girls group will meet 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Group Registration starts now.
